Poverty in Russia is winning.
Federal State Statistics Service has estimated the real income of Russians for the year – from May 2010 to May of 2011 – decreased by 7%.
It draws on the sensation: even in a crisis, according to official estimates, incomes fell, and rose. «Because of what the poorer people?» – Asked The New Times.
The average income of Russian citizens in May amounted to 18 thousand 183 rubles ($ 630 per month) is 3.2% more than a year earlier, according to Federal State Statistics Service.
But prices are rising much faster: Inflation for the year increased by more than 10%.
As a result, real incomes (adjusted for inflation) for the year decreased by 7%.
So much income of Russian citizens in the XXI century has not fallen …
Even in the crisis years, according to official statistics, real disposable income, contrary to economic reality grew: in 2008 – up 2.7% in 2009 – by 2.3% in 2010 – by 4.3 %.
And when it seemed that the worst is behind us, the increase was reversed.
